Lately, I have been just itching to take a vacation. I would LOVE to be somewhere tropical, laying out on the white sand, looking out on the crystal clear, bright, turquoise water and sipping a fruity, frozen drink (preferably out of half a fruit, like a coconut!). The last time I was able to do that was a few years ago when I went on a cruise with my ex-boyfriends family. I had never been on a cruise before, but it was actually surprisingly amazing. I was worried about getting seasick, feeling claustrophobic, or not having enough to do during the time spent on the ship, but this was not the case at all. We were constantly eating, drinking, and participating in activities. Our downtime was spent lounging by the pool, getting tan, and relaxing. There were movies under the stars, dance clubs, comedy shows, hypnotists, and pretty much any other entertainment you could possibly think of! Of course some of the best parts of the trips were getting to spend the days on the beautiful islands we went to. There were excursion trips that we booked through the cruise that helped us to maximize the short time we had on the islands, but on a few of the days we opted for just relaxing on the beautiful beach. I have been looking into some Caribbean cruises for this summer, and I am surprised at how reasonably they are priced. When you think about the fact that all of your food and accommodations are included in the price it ends up being way cheaper, than a vacation where there are so many variables for costs for food and housing. The only downside I see is the inevitable 10 lbs that I will gain again from having unlimited access to yummy food pretty much all the time! I have been trying to decide where exactly it is I would like to go. The last cruise I went on stopped in Puerto Rico, Bermuda, and Turks and Caicos. I loved all of those places, but I also feel like if I am going to go on another cruise I should use it as an opportunity to see some different islands. I have always wondered about taking a cruise to some place like Alaska too, but I just don’t think I can resist the appeal of the warm sun and clear water. Either way, all of this daydreaming about sailing away has made it increasingly hard to get anything done at work!

When visiting Hawaii a great way to tour The Big One is by All Terrain Vehicle. Big Island ATV Tours offer a variety of tours suitable for the novice or the seasoned veteran. A popular tour is down the Kohala Ditch Trail while the longest tour at 22 miles takes in sites from Hawaii’s history as well as spectacular views of the ocean from 2,500 feet.

Hawaii is a very friendly place and a great place to go for a vacation. There is plenty of sightseeing to be done, islands to explore, adventure activities or beaches to just laze on. Hawaii has a reputation for it’s stunning beaches and is a surfers paradise. Surfing lessons are available or it can be fun just to sit and watch the experts. From December till May, Hawaii is also home to humpback whales that have made their way south from Alaska. Whale watching tours are available from all the major islands.

Any trip to Hawaii should also take in a trip to the Volcanoes, in particular to The Big Island’s Volcanoes National Park where you can get up close to the Kilauea  which has been an active volcano since 1983.

Hawaii offers a wide range of top class hotels, wonderful restaurants serving both local and international cuisine as well as some excellent golf courses. The warm climate and sunny disposition of the Hawaiians makes this the ideal holiday destination. It is ideal whether you are looking for that trip of a lifetime, an exploring holiday or a venue for your dream wedding.

A city located in the northern regions of the United Kingdom, Liverpool will probably forever be connected to the singing sensation of the Beatles. Fans will still swarm to those places where their idols performed at some time, like the Cavern Club, or visit the places where John Lennon and Paul McCartney grew up. But once all these attractions have been exhausted, there remains much to be seen in Liverpool, a city with a glorious maritime history, two majestic and very different cathedrals and two of the Premiership’s biggest football teams.

There are many other attractions which give one a reason to stay at the hotels in Liverpool. The city is knee deep in buzzing new restaurants, exciting new shops and fashionable wine bars as well as an abundance of historic sites, cultural offerings and galleries and museums whose quality are tantamount to those in London. Liverpool was nominated a City of Culture in 2008 and is home to Britain’s second Tate Gallery, the Tate Liverpool, that is filled with paintings from Picasso and Salvador Dali, to name a few. There is also the Walker Art Gallery and the National Gallery of the North, whose highlights include works by Rembrandt, Degas, Turner and Hockney, all with easy access right on the first floor.

Aside from the many hotels in Liverpool, there is a wide variety of accommodations in the city that includes themed rooms, country house hotels and luxurious rooms with fantastically posh beds. The City Region, which runs from the city centre to the outlaying countryside, is home to a range of lodgings that run the gamut from award winning guest houses to upscale boutique hotels.

Standing out from this selection is the Hope Street Hotel, one of the city’s first boutique hotels that opened its doors five years ago and is located opposite the Philharmonic Hall and near the city’s cathedrals, in the Georgian Quarter.  This perfectly preserved neighborhood in Liverpool is home to numerous historic Georgian buildings and comfortable accommodations combined with service from the staff that is super friendly and always willing to offer a helping hand.

Also worth noting is the Hard Days Night Hotel, a four-star hotel located in the city centre near Mathew Street. Its inspiration is derived from the Beatles and is a perfect tribute to their legacy with a vibrant cocktail bar, an attached restaurant with good food at reasonable prices and an overall atmosphere that is modest yet tasteful and luxurious.

Another area of the city that offers some of the best hotels in Liverpool is the Albert Dock neighborhood. This is a redeveloped area of Liverpool’s waterfront where there can be found a variety of restaurants, shops and outstanding attractions. It is the primary tourist district for the city, with the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story, and is less than a half-hour away from the Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

There is much to be seen in Liverpool and the variety of world-class hotels and other accommodations make a trip to this city a most enjoyable experience.

Public transport in Majorca isn’t great but if you arrange car hire Majorca has plenty of interesting places to visit – from smaller fishing villages on the east cost to relatively unspoilt towns away from the coast. There are several car hire companies opening from Palma airport (PMI) itself, with a number offering a minibus service to transfer to car hire depots located a few minutes drive away.

If you are looking for a holiday with all the trappings of a busy tourist holiday destination – sandy beaches, jet skis, banana boats, karaoke, and a busy night life, then the resorts clustered around Palma Bay will be the place for you. One of the major resorts, Arenal is just a short drive from the airport and has everything you could wish for as a traditional package holiday destination.
